Who Has the Movie Rights?

Darius already posted this, but I thought I’d post it as well. I think it’s a great read, and actually fairly timely to things I’ve been thinking about recently. It’s an article about the history of Origin brought to you by the Escapist

My question is, why hasn’t anyone made a book / movie out of this yet?  I think it would be a great story, at least as interesting as Pirates of Silicon Valley.  Maybe it’s too soon?

A Looking Glass book/movie would be better. (Someone was writing a book years ago, but I think the project died.)

I think just Warren Spector’s biography would be pretty interesting, as it involves both studios.

Though I think there’d be more drama if there was a specific person Warren always had to fight against (as in Pirates of Silicon Valley).

Maybe we could make up a fake antagonist that’s representative of game publishers? With like 8 arms and a deamon head? And Warren could use his magical dagger at the end of the movie, and plunge it straight into the heart of the publishers and there would be explosions and screaming and Warren would emerge victorious!

Holywood would eat this up man, I’m telling you.
